In March AkiDwA began Shaping the Future by launching our strategic plan
In March AkiDwA launched our strategic plan for the next two years at the Irish Human Rights Commission in Dublin.
The plan outlines our priorities for improving the representation of migrant women; promoting integration and equality and helping migrant communities to develop, while also developing Akidwa as an organisation.
At the launch, from left to right were AkiDwA Chair Ashimedua Okonkwo, Head of Operations & Strategy, Salome Mbugua; Úna Ní Dhubhghaill, Principal Officer at the Office for the Promotion of Migrant Integration and AkiDwA Board member Paola Maggiorotto.
We followed the Dublin launch with events in Limerick on May 16th and in Waterford on June 27th. Both of these regional events were supported by partner organisations like Doras Luimnigh and by the local authorities there.
