IWD AkiDwA activities for 2017

To mark 2017 International Women’s Day themed- #BeboldforChange, AkiDwA has decided to ‘be bold’ in REACHINGOUT & SPEAKINGOUT! as part of their actions to #EndFGM in Ireland and through strong Awareness -Raising -Campaign involving Professionals, Institutions and Communities to #Prevent, #Protect, Prosecute and #support .

- 2nd March – Meeting with Sudanese ambassador’s wife to Ireland
- 6th March – speaking at Maryfield College at the Geminar on Development Education -migrant women issues in Ireland from migrant woman perspective
- 6-9th March – Participate/Attend the 7th World Congress on Women’s Mental Health
- 14th March – Dept of Midwifery, DKIT – Migrant Women Reproductive Health (FGM)
- 15th March – in conjunction with Tralee International Resource Centre and –
- 15th March – Park Lodge, Park Road, Killarney, Co Kerry & Tusla from Cork – Migrant Women Reproductive Health (FGM)
- 16th March – in conjunction with The Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation, Co. Wicklow – Migrant Women Reproductive Health (FGM)
- 21st March – Global Health Society – Trinity College – Migrant Women Reproductive Health (FGM)
