Katie Walker
Katie joined AkiDwA as Policy & Research Officer in April 2019. Katie has a BCL in Law and French and an LLM in international human rights law and public policy from University College Cork. She has worked with Irish and international rights organisations including Amnesty International, FLAC, Ireland’s Free Legal Advice Centre and with the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights in Vienna. Katie is committed to social justice. Her personal areas of interest include climate justice, gender equality and economic, social & cultural rights. Her current research focus is on female genital mutilation, domestic violence and the mental health of migrant women.
