Where: Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission, Green Street, Dublin 1

We invite you to attend the launch event of AkiDwA’s new report on the mental health of refugee women Let’s Talk: Mental Health, Asylum and the Resilience of Women.

The report is the result of research and focus groups conducted in 2019. We spoke with women refugees and asylum seekers on their experiences with mental health in the context of trauma, their asylum journeys and settling in Ireland. The research identifies key stress points that these women shared, but also identifies key areas of support with a view to improving service provision to support positive mental health outcomes.

Please join us to discuss the findings of the report and to share your own experiences. Coffee and tea will be provided on the day.

Please register with Eventbrite to secure your place!
