Request for Tender: Evaluation Consultant

AkiDwA invites tenders from a qualified person to conduct an evaluation of the organisation’s work on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). The successful applicant will assess and evaluate the delivery of FGM-related work in Ireland in the last ten years.

AkiDwA seek a comprehensive audit of the work on FGM through the review of documentation and reports, consultation with staff and with project partners and discussions with people who have received training and other forms of interventions.

Using Towards a National Action Plan to Combat FGM as a framework, the evaluation will focus on the following facets of AkiDwA’s work with the various groups: level of awareness; Prevention; Protection; Provision, support and care – for women and girls who have undergone FGM; Prosecution.

The consultant would begin the evaluation work as soon as possible with a view to delivering the final evaluation report on 31st May 2020. AkiDwA requests a meeting with the evaluator to review methodology and the scope of the evaluation prior to the commencement of work and at midway point appropriate for appraisal.
