Funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs' Development Education Section, the "Women Together for a Better World" initiative under AkiDwA's Global Citizenship Education (GCE) commenced in 2020. This project is designed to support women from migrant and indigenous backgrounds in Ireland, enabling them to engage in global citizenship education. It focuses on learning and reflecting on their roles and responsibilities as global citizens, with the ultimate goal of taking action for a fairer and more sustainable future.

By exploring the causes of inequality, the project allows women to share real-life examples and fosters a pathway for action and change. It aligns with the 2030 agenda's principle of leaving no one behind and uses the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a learning tool. AkiDwA diversifies the delivery of sessions on SDGs to participants, utilizing REFLECTION Action tools to facilitate understanding and engagement.
